Founded in 2005, the Loop Collective celebrates it’s fifth year with a 5-day festival at the Vortex packed with performances from all it’s members, collaborations, and guest bands from other top European collectives and Loop friends: F-ire, Yolk, LIMA, and Umlaut. The festival is part-funded by the Arts Council and PRS foundation and BBC Radio 3’s Jazz on 3 will be recording one of the evenings for broadcast. The Loop collective membership represents a generation of like-minded Jazz musicians who wanted to create a network of shared resources, a platform for their many artistic collaborations and foster the promotion of contemporary creative music.
